Pyramid Lake is a single track 70 minute recording inspired by everyman‘s experience sitting in front of the actual Pyramid Lake in Nevada on his way back from the Burning Man event in August of 2003. This was originally released in October 2004 under the the “everyman” moniker.
From the recording’s original liner notes:
Pyramid Lake itself (which lies on Native American Indian land) appears to be a hallucination after seeing endless miles of dry open desert. Says everyman “After a week’s worth of audio/visual sensory overload, I sat before this lake and meditated. Indescribable visions and sounds filled my head, but the abstract words and sounds I heard, the vivid images I saw, and the numbing sensations he felt remained in my spirit days. While the sounds, visions, sensations appeared to me as mysteriously as that body of water, it made me wonder … were they just as real?”
